WHAT IS A MURDER MYSTERY?
Whether it be a corporate conference, association fund-raiser, or just a group of friends, MYSTERY UNLIMITED has proven
over the years that murder mystery dinners are a great way to let people participate and have a good laugh while trying to
piece together the clues that will solve the crime.
MYSTERY UNLIMITED shows can be either theme or contemporary based. These are good for public events, larger crowds, or
groups that want a chance to dress up and decorate accordingly.
The evening begins with a reception period before dinner. Characters mingle, establish- ing who they are and why they
are there. A series of scenes and occurrences - many involving audience members - continue through the course of the meal.
Suddenly, the lights go out, there is a blood curdling scream, and when the smoke finally clears there is a body lying on
the floor, an obvious victim of murder most foul!
The investigation begins: questions asked, evidence examined, the scene of the crime carefully combed. Then the final
dramatic scene is played, secrets revealed, and a surprise or two later the murderer is nabbed. The lucky ones who solved
the crime receive a certificate of merit and the evening is over, except for the chatting about such things as "How could
I have missed that clue!"
Performances usually run about two and a half hours and generally involve a minimum of five actors. Group sizes can range
in size from 15 to 150. In a private show the client chooses the venue and organizes the food while we take care of the rest.
